Smitty Smith learned AutoCAD 3D with SofTutor in 2 Days!
Smitty nearly doubled his business in less than a year after learning 3D with SofTutor.
Smitty an 8th generation iron smith tried SofTutor and drew a 3D staircase within his first two days. When he sent us the drawing we were amazed!
We animated it, put it on YouTube, 50,000+ people watched it, which lead to nearly doubling his business by the end of the year.
Before the end of the year he had designed, built and sold his most elaborate staircase three weeks after learning 3D (see photos) and was contracted to do the iron work for ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition® Season 9 Episode 20.
Learning 3D allowed Smitty to show customers what he was thinking before they received their custom iron work. For years Smitty would show the customers a 2D drawing (top left).
After he learned AutoCAD 3D with SofTutor, Smitty was able to show customers what he was planning on doing before the customer bought the custom work. As a result of providing better visualizations of future projects he was able to close more business and sell more elaborate custom solutions.

3D Printers and Mailboxes
With 3D printers you can even design and print your ideas before you actually make them. Smitty loves to make mailboxes as well. Smitty's mailboxes are amazing and almost guaranteed to not get knocked over as their posts are solid iron and go 3' - 4' down in the ground. Click to see some of Smitty's Mailboxes at SmithIron.com.
If you have a 3D printer, Smitty designed a mailbox for us in AutoCAD that you can print on your printer. Use a high resolution setting (it will take a while).
